Thanks for the extra info on the plies question.
My wheels are rated for Ds but not Es, so no sweat there.
The Komforts that came out from about 2005 switched tires to Ds on the same model trailer with the same 5200 Dexters we have. Same dry weight, but this tire change jacked up the Trailer's GVWR and GAWRs. (maybe to get more cargo rating? no idea--ours has a goodly cargo rating as is with the Cs)
The trailer GAWR is based on the tires in this case, same as with the truck's ratings--tires being the 'weak link' for the weight capacity for GAWR --at least with our truck. (and trailer)
I am glad to hear others are doing ok with the RHs. I was going to get LTs this time but there are no 15" LTs. I would have got new Marathons but they are hard to find anymore--Cs may be phased out entirely but you can still get Ds for now anyway, but they cost more here than the RHs and have to be ordered, not in stock. So it was RHs or nothing almost. Anyway, with our low mileage I figured it didn't matter that much, so now I am RHed whether I like it or not--it's done :) I do feel better knowing others are doing ok with them.
