My truck will be fine.
Trailer is 9750 dry.
Max weight 12,900.
Dry pin 1825.
Assumed approx loaded trailer weight is 11,500.
Assumed approx loaded pin weight 2200-2300 lbs.
I just have a preferance to sit with minimum sag.
A lot of "assumptions"...Don't believe you'll need any suspension help....But do yourself a favor and ignore "dry weights".....The GVW on your 5er is 12,900# period...hitch weight will be based on what you ACTUALLY load to....So you're "assuming" you will load 5er to 1,400# under it's GVWR..cool...hitch weight at 11,500# will be as you suggested, around 2300#.
Don't see why your truck would have an issue with this or why your would have to "beef up" the suspension of a brand new truck:h I would think you could load to 12,500#, have a pin weight of 2500#, still be ok with the 2015 2500 and still not have to beef up your trucks suspension...
your money, your truck, your suspension fixer....truck and 5er should work out fine.:)
