Stackable washers and dryer

I posted earlier that I’m upgrading to a larger 5er. The model I’m looking at has stackable washer and dryer prep. Are they worth the $1400 for the pair? Everything I’ve read suggests that stackable work reasonably well, but combo units are terrible. Thanks.
  • We have, and are extremely happy with our GE Space Saver washer and dryer. However, they are quite old, 15 years old. I don’t know if the new ones are as good as these have been. We’re not sure of price....we bought the unit used!
  • Yes, well worth the money.

Combo units aren’t terrible by any means, but if it’s an option, get the stackables
  • We have the Splendide stacked and vented set and it is the best addition to our 5th wheel. Not cheap, but so far worth every penny. Whatever you do, get the vented version. Much quicker dry cycle.
  • The stackables definitely have convenience that you don't get with combos with the ability to have 2 loads going at one time.

We actually had the option for stackables this time but kept with the combo because we like to put a load in at bed time and have it washed + dry when we wake up in the morning. Even better: the clothing washer is i my kid's room and they fold the laundry each morning!

    Definitely vented, no matter what.
