- VeebyesExplorer IIReally! Sink material the deal breaker?? Usually the DWs are all over fabric colours. My DW absolutely hates the fabric colours in our Alpenlite. Oh well, get over it. Everything else about it is right.

We on the ther hand could have gotten a stainless steel sink as an option and declined. We really do not like the way stainless looks and it requires all that polishing to make it look nice. We are happy with our high end composite sink.
Yeah, us too. Hate the stainless steel sink in our house, love the composite in our fiver. And wouldn't have anything but a DOUBLE sink with nice Corrian covers to give us lots of counter space. Although one of the selling points for us was lots of counter space even without the sink covers. - rhagfoExplorer III

There is such a thing as a sink cover that adds extra prep space if the sink is not in use. Mine stays installed even when in transit. It is made of the same material as the counter top. Looks good, can't see the sink, be it plastic or stainless.

I could make one for the new SS sink, but then again don't really need one! - j2catfishExplorerThere is such a thing as a sink cover that adds extra prep space if the sink is not in use. Catfish - rjsurferExplorerI have a plastic sink and would love a stainless. What on average are you guys paying for an SS replacement?
Thanks
Ron w - huntramExplorerOur Cameo came with SS in the kitchen and the bathroom. Hasn't been a problem keeping them nice with just soap and water. Still looking purty after 6 year's with 5 of them full timing!

We much prefer stainless over plastic, for all the reasons stated. Don't know about the polishing part because "it's a sink for cryin' out loud". :)
LOL!!!
Well if you notice in my post with pictures the Moen sink we bought has a brushed finish, I just wipe out with a sponge, I don't polish. - work2muchExplorerStainless and prefer one large sink to 2 smaller ones. Swapping out sinks should be a pretty easy mod providing either the size is standard or you are going to a larger sink and can cut the countertop larger.

I guess so lol. I agree with donn0128, S/s steel is the only way to go. We had the plastic sinks on our pop-up, and our Jayco, both ended up with stains, and in our Jayco, a melted spot when accidently put a hot pot in the sink. In our opinion Stainless Steel sinks and porcelain toilets the only way to go. Good Luck and Happy Camping !!
