I was going to ask a question regarding Stainless Steel and made the mistake of reading the posts on the Cast Iron.....But I digress.We are looking at the Costco set of Stainless Steel Cookware for $169, at least at our Reno and Sparks stores. Patti is worried about food sticking. I told her I didn't think that would be a problem if proper precautions are taken. What is the consensus?And we do have a hodge-podge set of cast iron but no lids. And three pieces of LaCreuset and those three we would keep..Also she has looked at the non-stick Stainless but I am not sure how healthy the non-stick is. Probably safe now as 20ish years ago the non-stick was poor.Thanks for any replies.

Reviews, impartial. Check this out for SAFE non-stick cookware...no teflon, no fumes, nothing toxic and wears very well.

Costco carries their own brand that is simular. So does Sams Club.

I'm lazy and like it easy when we are on the road. All my fry pays are aluminum non-stick except for the electric fry pan which is SS. As we travel we pick up old Revere Ware pots and love it. I have two campfire pans, a Wagner 10 frypan and some super fancy anodized aluminum griddle someone left for me to clean. All clean up easy except the campfire stuff.

Back in the dinosaur days (1971) we received a set of SS Farberware as a wedding gift. We still have the entire set and the pieces have been used extensively over those 40+ years. When we bought our first RV one of the first acquisitions was a set of SS Farberware.

I have found that with stainless that food will stick when overheated , I had a hard time trying to learn how to use. It takes patience to learn how to use it but when you do it is no harder to clean that non stick, I also use cast iron which is our first nonstick cookware, my favorite in the cast iron is the enamel coated. Good camping and cooking.

I love my stainless Steel cookware from Costco. Got a second set for the RV. Cleans up easily. If you do get scorching a little Barkeepers Friend cleanser will clean it right up. Will never use non stick again.

We bought Cuisinart stainless steel at Tuesday Morning for a song. Kept the whole set in the RV for six years, then moved it into our new S&B. Like it so much that it stays in the house, where it all gets used a lot, and take individual pieces (along with the CI) to the RV for that particular trip.

I particularly like the copper core in the bottoms, and the ease with which they clean up. On the rare occasion something stuck, I use the CI technique of adding water, bringing it to a boil, and scraping up whatever stuck to it. But then it can go into the dishwasher for the final cleanup, unlike CI.

Exactly 10 years after we bought it, the stainless still looks like new.

When it comes to SS, sticking and scorching are directly related to the thickness of the pan bottoms. Heavier bottomed pans tend to perform better and cost more than thinner ones.

!6" would be hard to use in an RV. You might want to check The Wok Shop. They have some very reasonably priced woks in carbon and cast iron. I have a smaller wok of cast iron that surprisingly isn't that heavy.

Yes here is the14 inch from WOK shop They both would take up the entire stove but I need something larger and wouldn't be using the other burners at the same time. I need something heavy duty that will last. The 14 inch would probably work!

I don't buy "sets" of cookware because I find that I don't use all the pieces. I have, over the last few years, bought heavy duty stainless steel pieces from Marshall, TJ Maxx, etc that are deep but not wide which works better in MH. They are great.

I use my cast iron skillets and coated skillet but have been thinking about replacing coated skillet with this

We bought a set of Costco stainless cookware some five or six years ago for use in or stick house and the wife loves the stuff. We have some leftover stainless Revere Ware in the coach and some misc old stainless at our beach home, but the Costco stuff is far superior to those pieces.

The Costco stainless and the Revere Ware have copper clad bottoms to disperse the heat.

we also have some stoneware at the house we like. If it wasn't so heavy it is perfect for camping, easy clean, cooks nicely.
