Last summer we met a couple for Germany that bought a truck and fifth wheel trailer i. south Dakota. They apparently had made the purchase site unseen from a dealer. This way when they landed in the US they were ably to get a one year visa. They landed in October and were nearing the end of their time when we met them. We at the same park met a couple from NZ. Their son was livinging in Canada and had made a purchase for them. So when they flew in to Vancouver Canada they picked up their little motor home qnd took off. They were only going to be about three months, but were having a ball. As far as licensing and registration a lot of peole use South Dakota. There is no taxes and there are plenty of mail forewording companies to establish your residency. License fees and taxes are rwgulated by the individual states. So be very careful about purchasing in states like California where the taxes and fees can add up really fast.
