Paul I did want to mention if you did find an RV deal in California. Residents outside California won't have to suffer registration fees or taxes.
The buyer just needs a mailing address outside CA.
Wish the no fees would have come into play for us.
We just bought a new 2012 coach retailed at $49,632 and towed it home for $31,000 before tax+lic...
Also I'm not sure about this, yet I think the place we bought from might be willing to take a very clean RV back for resale.
