I cut a piece of pvc maybe 1.5 ft long that slides over the hitch handle
How do you put the locking pin in????
My locking pin is spring loaded so I bought a turnbuckle like this one
Linky
With that extra reach I am able to hook the turnbuckle over the pin to pull it and slide the pvc pipe on the handle to move it
Be careful with the turnbuckle system. On a B&W hitch this is a super critical link to safety. A locking pin has to be in there. I had a turnbuckle system on a truck camper several years ago and found them to get loose and fall out on their own!! I actually use a pad lock on my B&W instead of the pin. I'm afraid someone will remove my pin while I'm not looking and then watch me drop my 5th wheel on the truck bed.
