Storage - Slides out?

I read the only posts on this topic but it really didn't answer my question. Maybe you guys can clue me in. The storage lot we store our rig in is very nice, covered, secured, the whole nine. There are about 40 rigs there. More often we are seeing rigs being stored with all of their slides out. Can anyone tell me what advantages one could see in doing this? I can't think of one reason why someone would do that. What am I missing?

Until the guy trying to squeeze in next to you takes one out.

  • X4. It only takes a few seconds to run a slide out and back in.

  • Make it 3 in row.....You are only asking for unnecessary wear from the weather.
  • Easy access.

We periodically need to get something from inside of our camper and often times have to run a slide out part way to get to it. If I could store it with my slides out, I'd probably consider it.
