super glide hitch

Question

Well our super glide hitch
all the way to to the back. So can not unhook the fifth wheel. Has this happen to anyone before? We have had it for 10 years with over a 100,000 miles on it. I will not be back till evening thank you.

Sounds like your adaptor plate has moved or is missing...a little more information would help greatly.

Pull the pins on the head and use the front jacks to lift pin box and hitch head off the hitch?Sounds like your capture plate has let loose.

Yes cdash you are right it was raining last night &amp; I had a blood run {red cross} early today.  It will be simple to fix.  Thanks
