Just the paint wearing off. Not to worry. However, you should definately grease things up. Jaws, Pin and capture plate key.
Understand that the capture plate key is simply a weldment. As such, it can be a little tight against the 'V' in the hitch plate. I doubt it is any big deal. Just grease it up, and go.
