Our dealer originally installed a slide hitch in our 2006 Dodge 1500 Mega Cab when we took Delivery of our 2010 KZ 1500 5th wheel. On our maiden trip home the pin box scrapped the tailgate when backing up in our driveway. Dealer immediately changed the slide for a Reese Sidewinder and we never had any other problems with the 5.5' box. As mentioned before it does track a little differently but in our case we found this to be a positive. Only advise would be to make sure you get the proper size hitch for your payload.
