Kind of thot all those gimmick supports for slides, the hitch and so forth were just one more chore when setting up or getting ready to go.
Kind of like pitching tents with poles ropes and stakes.
It can be bad enough with chocks, blocks etc...
Actually their not a gimmick. Most folks weren't around when our first tips outs/slide outs came on a RV. The supports were required/needed. Some folks made their own.
Not many of the older trailers left out here that require the slide out supports but I see one every once in a while. - BumpyroadExplorer

stop and think what would happen to your slides if the trailer got a flat tire and the slides had supports under them. far more damage than you can afford out of pocket I bet.

- MPI_MallardExplorerTotally agree with all above but,,,i use them,i have sidewinders for my slides because they are long and wide and I find they really take away a lot of the movement in my rig,do you need them,,no but if you want to lose some of the shimmy in your fiver they really work for me.

Stop and think about that 6" casing all the way around the slide out, then add to that the support of the arms underneath, no additional support needed. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIMFG. don't supply them with rigs because they are not needed.
Aftermarket sells them because people buy them thinking they are needed........not! - robsouthExplorer IINo supports needed for slides. They are engineered to support themselves.
