I can comment on this thread with experience. I has a 2012 F-250 with the 6.2L gas engine with a door placard payload of roughly 2800 pounds. The rig was a 2011 Crossroads Cruiser 29BHX with a loaded pin of 1900. The problem is these trucks sit baasically level from the factory. Mine in stock form had literally 1/2in of rake. So with very little weight the truck sagged. With the fiver attached it dropped 2.5-3im and did not handle the rig well at all. I went with a custom long add a leaf due to cost and not wanting to fool with the air bags and Bilstein shocks. I have since traded both fifth wheels and trucks now. But if I had kept it or had it to do over again I would have gone with Timbrens or Bags. The truck did not ride well even with tire pressures reduced when towing and added too much rear end lift. It looked like a drag racer unloaded! And this was a custom long leaf that was supposedly not gonna change ride much or lift more than 1-1.5in. The Bilsteins did very well and would go with them again. Loaded it was great! Set perfect and handled the weight fine. Ive since upgraded to a 1ton and went back to diesel. Hope this helps.
