Does anyone have any experience with the Taskmaster ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Load range E trailer tire? Was looking at a set of these for my 2013 Keystone Montana High Country 338DB.
Thanks!
Had them on my last Fuzion toyhauler. I saw the trailer 2 years later and the same tires were still on it. I have them on my current Raptor toyhauler and on my farm/utility trailer. No problems in the last 5 years. - JIMNLINExplorer IIITaskmaster shows 4 different lines of ST tires (668 radial and 888 bias ply and Contender 888 economy tire).
The Provider line up seems to be Taskmaster's Premium ST tire line and the only one I see discussed on different rv and non rv trailering forums. - allen8106ExplorerTaskmaster is an American based company with facilities in Texas, Missouri, Iowa and Georgia. They don't indicate if these are manufacturing sites or just distributorships. It "appears" they are simply a re-seller that has tires made with their brand name on them. No indication where the tires are made.
- BipeflierExplorerOur Crossroads Cruiser came with those tires. Less than 2 years one failed by blowing out the sidewall. I run tire pressure system so, NO it wan't under inflated nor overloaded. Side wall belts just failed.
Replaced with Goodyear G614 LT tires. Happy now but slightly poorer! - tktimmonsExplorerI would like to user Michelin XPS ribs LT tire, but their speed rating is only 65mph. I tend to drive a little towards 70mph on the highways here around WV and MD.

Where did you get that info. Rib for trucks has a 99 or 103-6 speed rating. For RV's Michelin suggest 75 MPH. The RIB and BS Duravis R250 are two of the best tires available if they meet ones weight requirement. I have used both! Chris - laknoxNomad

The commercial trailer industry (example; PJ and Starlite) has been using the Provider by Taskmaster for several years as OEM or a upgrade option on certain size trailers.
I have 4 ST235/85-16 E at 3640 lb M speed rated on a 12k car hauler. This trailer makes three to five 220 mile runs a month at 70-75 mph speeds when allowed. They should work great for RV trailers also.
The Provider by Taskmaster is a fabric carcass tire with the usual two steel tread belts and a nylon cap to help with tread separation issues.
I think our new PJ GN triple-axle flat deck came with Providers, G rating. Will have to check...
Lyle - TXicemanExplorer IIDO NOT dismiss the Hankook (made in Korea), F19 MAxiVantage, G rated tire. So far 15,000 miles and no issues,
- kedanieExplorer IISeems like at least yearly a new ST tire name appears on the market. Everyone raves about how good it is and the best thing since sliced bread. Then, after a year or so, here comes all the tire problems. Suddenly, that new name is now a junk ST tire and labeled a China Bomb.
Reality is that the problem is the ST tire spec that all these tires are made to. It is simply a cheap tire spec that will fail as it degrades over time. It's been going on for years and won't change any time soon.
Reality here is go out and get some good tires that can handle the abuse. They are out there, you just have to look and ask questions. Tire stores just want to sell you what they have in stock that makes the most money for them!
