Anyway My first patch happened when the rig was about a week out and was still intact 11 years later when I sold it. Clean the spot with mineral spirits you can get low odor type. Use a good silicone under the earthbond. Then put down the tape and smooth it out. Then apply a good silicone around the edges of the tape. You can use dicor or a high quality silicone and if it is getting ready to rain use a quick dry one. We still camp in state and fed parks but my unit has a fiberglass roof. I may get some scratches but no tears. Good luck and you will probably do it again.
Make sure whatever "Silicone" you are using is NOT petroleum based. Petroleum based products will deteriorate the rubber roof material.
