Has anyone used the portable system? How do you like it and what sizeHose do you use? On my property that I’m building the sewer is approximately 100 feet from 5wheel. I really don’t want to use a tote because once I finish the house I won’t have a need for a tote. I could always use the pump even for visitors. Thanks David

We have the factory maceator pump on our Talon and love it. No more trying to get real close to the dump pipe. The nozzle fits right into the pipe and is already attached so no messing with dirty, wet hoses after the tanks are drained. One thing to watch out for is when the tanks are empty, be sure to shake out the hose to the drain before discunnecting cause there will be left over water in the hose.What has me slightly concerned is how to drain the maceator system for winterising. Since there is a good 12 feet of hose attached to the bottom of my trailer, the hose won’t fully drain. So, it looks like I’ll have to buy 5 gallons of antifreeze this fall to make sure I get all the water out of the pump and hose.The hose on ours is a 2” hose and that works just fine for dumping.

Have been using a FloJet 3" bayonet style macerator for 5 seasons now... replaced the impeller 4th season as preventive maintenance. Couldn't be happier. We haven't carried a slinky since we got it. Use a 25' and 50' standard heavy duty black rubber garden hose. Have pumped 125' and uphill with no issues... It does require a dedicated (10ga) power supply direct to battery.

I made one by modifying a garbage disposal unit. The opening is the same as your standard RV sewer hose.

Save your money and take a look at the sewer solution. We have one, with water pressure I can push waste a long way!! Good Luck

I use this macerator-pump that I made. I pump 75' thru a 3/4" hose. I do not have to put up with the 12v model over heating and having to wait for it to cool off so it will start again.
