The Outcome On 2003 Prairie Schooner!

We decided to pass. Things just got weirder and weirder. What broke the camel's back per se on this is that the guy (Tim) that was selling it for the "owner" (we will call Joe) supposedly GAVE Joe a loan to buy it of $15,000. Then Tim, that was selling it for Joe, TOLD us that Joe had $1000 in expenses for bringing the unit from Texas to NE Oklahoma (yea right). Now keep in mind that Tim was selling it for Joe and LOANED "Joe" the $15,000. THEN....Tim said another time that HE was the one that brought it up from Texas.

Now, even though I am blonde and do have blonde moments...I got to thinking to myself....okay why was Tim having to always ask "Joe" about our offer, etc., when technically Tim was the owner since he had loaned the money to Joe!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, we passed on the coach. I loved it and it was a perfect fit size wise and $$$ wise, but the stories just kept changing regarding the this coach.
  • I think you did the right thing too. Like you, I assess the item and the seller before making a purchase. Consequently I probably end up missing out on some good deals. But I don't have any vehicles in my yard that I can't produce a title for either. :)
  • Sounded pretty weird from the get go! You made a wise decision. Chris
  • I would have made them a cash offer...
that MILLION dollar bill that people try to pass of at Wally World!
  • That does sound weird. Almost a scam in the making.

Shoot, no almost, a scam indeed.

You did right to walk away from that one.
