Prepare for a big hit with depreciation. Have you ever tried public parks(state, national, county, national forests)campgrounds. We generally don't care a lot for private ones for some of the reasons you mentioned. Public ones tend to be much more natural, more widely spaced sites, less money and somewhat more likely to have friendly neighbors who are really "campers" rather than just someone looking for a space to park. I agree, Fl. is generally too crowded but still they have some great state parks. If you have never gone to the northwestern Rockies and camped in and near the great national parks, you are missing paradise(to me that is). Of course if you have no interest in that stuff you probably are better off without an RV.
