I think Im gonna sell mine..??

In areas where winter is severe enough to require winterizing an RV, the typical sales scenario is fall is a buyers market, and spring is a sellers market. The fall sellers don't want to service and store the rig, and the spring buyers are anxious to get ready for summer vacations. Of course there are all kinds of exceptions, making that a very general "rule".

Sully, I would look at Motorhomes of Texas to sell your coach. They are a Foretravel, Newell and Country Coach Sales organization. They sell only used coaches now that CC closed and FT went to Factory Direct again. They sold 20-30 coaches this past month or so they said and I say a lot being delivered. It is in TX but they will send a driver to pick it up or may even buy it outright if you do not want to consign it.
I sold one coach thru them and bought one too. I also use their service department as it is one of the best I have found.

Sully, we also used Motorhomes of Texas to consign our previous coach. They keep them plugged in, slides in until a customer wants to take a look (no risk of topper damage from a quick storm).

I know that's a hard decision for you to make as we made it recently. We really miss RVing. :(

One thing, I don't think you can count on selling yours including an added price for extras of filters, etc. You really need to price it according to actual value. Perhaps you can sell your filters in a separate advertisement for the whole lot. Good luck!

Sorry to hear your medical issue has ended your RV lifestyle. Financial considerations ended ours.

We sold our '02 Georgetown 325 (a purchase from the original owners in 2010) on consignment with a local dealership. We initially got screwed by the reported "only" offer, two months after the consignment, of half of what the dealership's "value consultant" thought it was worth. The owner of the dealership got a "conscience" when I started bad-mouthing them by name on this forum and others.

It turned out that the owner of the dealership had bought the RV, had some minor problems solved by his techs and then sold it for 80% more than the reported "only bid".

He finally fessed up when I started giving the outfit a hard time by name on this forum and a couple of others, and we renegotiated the deal to a value close to what I'd figured the rig was worth.

We're now out of the life-style due to cost. IMO if your hobby starts taking money out of your IRA, maybe a re-assessment is appropriate. That was our conclusion. We miss the lifestyle, too, but living in Anacortes has a lot of positives.

Sully, sorry to hear that you feel like you must give up the RV! I would think that unless you can find a potential snow bird, your RV would sell better in the spring.

I had to sell my '03 Mountain Aire because I couldn't get up the six steps on it. I bought the 2 in my signature and am still wondering if I can continue but I love RVing.
