Thor Wanderer Wagon 287WTB info needed

My son-in-law recently got a 2004 Thor Wanderer Wagon 287WTB and I'm not finding any specs for this online. Looks like the weight sticker on the tongue has worn mostly away and is not legible. I'm not seeing a weight plate anywhere on the exterior.
Trying to help him find the right WD hitch and setup.
Thanks!
Greg
  • What year is it?
Those were popular so I won't be shocked if one of our members has a brochure but it may take a while for a reply.

In the mean time here is a search this is based on using 'Wanderer Wagon' I only found one mention of '287WTB' that member hasn't been on in years.
  • I don't have a year right now - and got the same lack of info that you must have just seen. Rather odd ... in fact, I snapped a photo of the Thor Model number and referred back to that, thinking I must have typo'ed that in my search ... nope - really does say
    THOR 287WTB
    on the sticker.

Edit - he confirmed that it's a 2004 ... still can't find a spec sheet online for weights for that model.

    Found this site that lists a 277WTB and a 297WTB ... but no 287WTB

  • Yeah I didn't find that model number in my searching, well except one member here had one. I'll do some more digging this weekend.
  • This might help, the Wanderer's sister is the Tahoe. I think yours is a toyhauler?

    see below.
  • You can also use the wayback machine, http://web.archive.org

and search on www.thorca.com it will list years/months that were saved, click on an active year/month for your unit.

    here is a sample link:

one other thing, on the inside of my under-sink door I also have a weight placard.

I looked it up for you:

  • Great job gandude! Totally forgot about the wayback machine.
  • I had a Wanderer, first toy hauler we bought. It was 23' tag, don't remember model number. Good unit, very heavy, not 1/2 ton friendly, we outgrew it.
