tire blowout
my made in china tires exploded on last trip, how can i fix damage to wheel well caused by steel belt. cheaply that is, my insurance company says $1035. damage, ist $1000. on me though

Why would you say that? Per the OP he has a $1000 deductible which now a days is pretty normal. And estimate is $1035. I agree with others and buy the parts and replace myself and not involve insurance.
