I was not saying to buy tires by the pound, I said to compare the ST to the LT. Weight is one factor, as is tread depth, sidewall bumps, bead area etc. I prefer to compare the actual product,not written sales info. I have had good success with LT tires, and use several gooseneck trailers at work which also use LT tires.The ST tires would only last a year on these trailers and we have 3 yrs. so far on LT. they are only half worn, and no weather checks. They are not Michelin, but a off brand made by Cooper tire.
