I actually called Goodyear and talked to one of their engineers. They told me that their G614 is designed to run at any pressure on the chart listed on the page http://www.goodyearrvtires.com/tire-inflation-loading.aspx . I was told that as long as you don't run them under-inflated for the load you are carrying, they will be fine. Since my trailer weighs 17,000lbs with 3500lbs on the pin, that leaves 13,500lbs on the six tires. That is 2,250lbs on each tire. At that load, the minimum pressure would be 60psi. 80psi is more than enough even if my rig was loaded to max. gross weight.
Think about this, you can go look at the tires on any of your vehicles. The max pressure on the tire sidewall is more than likely higher than the recommended pressure on the sticker on the door jamb. This is to make your vehicle ride and handle well, while not being under-inflated, just like the engineer told me.
I am no expert, so don't take my word for it. Do the research yourself, and maybe even call Goodyear yourself. It just takes a little time.
