Tire pressure sensor

So I do not own, never have owned one of those tire pressure sensors, but think maybe I should invest in one, here is one I found at Costco.ca for 76.99
Anyone with experience with this one?




The TireMinder® wireless tire pressure monitoring system provides peace of mind for RV, fifth-wheel, trailer or motor coach owners. Designed to continuously monitor tire pressure and temperature, it will warn of any abnormality. The four lightweight transmitters (with replaceable lithium batteries) simply screw into the valve stems. The TireMinder® monitors tires up to 145 psi.

    found it..

    the sensors are $35 each in the US so $70 for 2 (76.99 here)
    the base unit is $318 canadian.

    here is the tiretracker site.. $219 for the base, 4 tire kit

    I would think that is correct. If you can get the complete system for $76.99 buy as many as you can cause that is a steal. Have had the system for 2 years. It is reliable and you do have to wake up the sensors when they have been idle.

  • I use the TireMinder on my enclosed car hauler. I paid $199 for it 3 yrs ago. (4 sensors)

    I don't know about the TST system. My tireminder monitor seems 'slow' to me.
    if the trailer sits for a day, the sensors go to sleep. (save battery).
    but it takes 15 miles before they wake up again.

    I had one tire disintegrate at 16 miles from home, and the monitor went off as I was pulling off the road cause I saw it from the rearview mirror.

    tire minder and tire tracker are the same stuff with different labels.

    only thing I don't like is they want you to unplug the receiver after an 8 hour charge. but I don't always pull the trailer..

    I may go buy another one to get 4 more sensors!
