To stick with industry standards, replacement tires need to be inflated to a pressure value that will provide, at the minimum, the load capacity the OE tires provided. However, RVIA has made a strong recommendation for RV trailer tires to provide 10% load capacity above the vehicle certified GAWRs. More than 95% of the RV trailer manufacturers are members of RVIA and all of their new models reflect that, as they are using OEM tires inflated to provide that 10% load capacity reserve.
