NO these were not caps, the were original rib style tires that are common on many OTR trailers.

Well All Position tire with steer capabilities.
My point all along has been the casing and not the tread design.
The casing (carcass), is the same in all positions! Exactly why LT truck tires will work on a trailer as well, if not better than ST tires.
