- Garry_GayleExplorerI am looking seriously at these when replacement time comes, always had good results with Toyo Toyo
- AcampingwewillgExplorer IIA couple of months ago I finally replaced the tires on my '96 Dodge dually..yes, that's right, they were the original tires with just over 25000 miles(as you can see, I don't use the truck much)...anyways, I purchased 7 new Yohohama Geolander's from America's Tire Warehouse....paid just over 900.00(952.00, I think) ...somehow I got lucky before the price increase, Yay for me.
- bobsallyhExplorer IIOur '03 Dodge dually 2 WD came with Goodyear Wrangler SRA something from the factory. Got 67,000 miles without trying. Went back with the same tire for replacement. Worked to get 45,000. Then went to Firestone TransForce HT, again got 47,000. Replaced them with Michelin LTX MS2,looking for wear, ha, ha, and they are down to 7/32nds at 30,200 miles on them. Very poor wear. And I sure paid a whole lot less for the Firestones. I never have had problems with any kind coming apart, etc. I'm looking for mileage which of course is not in the manufactures best interest! And this is with about the same amount of towing, running empty, and about the same roads from year to year. No alignment problems etc. they just plain wear out! Good luck with whatever brand you end up with.
- Bob_OExplorerFirestone TransForce here. Also have them on my 5th wheel. Very pleased with them. 72,000 on my first set on the truck.

I like the roundest ones best. When they're only round over the top they don't work so good.
I like the "square" tires best! They make a better sound going down the road:) - brokeboaterExplorer06 Dodge Ram 3500. Just put my third set of Michelin LTs on. I got 70K out of the first set but only 65K out of the second. Of course the second set I put 16,000 miles towing at or just over my rating on some pretty rugged roads through a lot of Northern Canada and Alaska, so I can't really complain. I wore the shoulders thin on the back tires but I can't really put that on the tires. Miser that I am I would have squeaked out my last 5,000 miles on them anyway but I was getting ready to take off on anther trip so my prudence trumped my cheapness.
- Charlie_D_ExplorerMy OEM Transforce HT's had 23,000 miles on them when they were replaced prior to a trip. Evenly worn down to the bars. Do have them on my 5er but they will age out before being worn out. Search carefully for tires. Many LT's have no mileage warranties. Now have Cooper HT3"s with 50,000 mile warranty.

Looks like this thread will kinda get you no where. It is like a what's your favorite beer thread. Everyone has an opinion.

Thanks for your input. This thread serves the purpose of "narrowing down the field of choices" based on real empirical experiences of RVers. It also informs me of what tires have the highest frequency of being used. As always, in America everyone gets to choose for themselves:) - Sport45Explorer III like the roundest ones best. - kzspree320ExplorerI like my Firestone Transforce ATs and replaced them with the same thing.
