I went to my local tire dealer who supplies tires for a mine, power plant and ranchers. He checked with his supplier and they recommended Carlisle Radial Trail load range F 16" to replace my Towmaster load range E 16". I had read on the forums that Calisle had a bad reputation but trusted my dealer who has sold me every tire I own for 20 years. Bad choice! Three years later I am sitting on the side of the road (twice in one trip) with a shredded tire and a ripped up trailer. I should have listened to the anonymous people who had used Carlisle ST tires and knew they were junk. I skipped any more experiments and went to 17.5" rims and tires.
