This is the tire I went with:

Anyone run these?
Yes those were my choice also. Great tire, worked very well for me as far as I knew.
But Michelin recalled those tires a year or 2 ago, and I ended up with a free set of 7 Michelin 235/85 16E XPS Ribs, free of charge. Nice to know Michelin stands behind the BFG warranties...
Very very unlikely, but you might want to just check DOT numbers and make sure you didn't get a set of the recalled DOT numbered tires. The recalled DOT # are listed online, and here. Think I posted the recall numbers here somewhere...?

I have a silly question. I'm looking on line and on discounttires they add valve stems and a replacement policy (I'm assuming some sort of extra warranty).
1) If I'm buying replacement tires, do I also need to buy new valve stems?
2) Do I need/want the extra warrenty?
Just curious. Sorry a complete newbie on replacing tires here.
Thanks
Yes, new metal valve stems, and a good mounting/balance job are very good insurance imo.
I personally never go with additional warranty on anything. The warranty that comes with most products is enough for me. In my experience, my friends that get extra extended warranty on everything rarely pays off. If and when they do 'successfully' use the extended warranty, the times are so far and few between, they could have bought a brand new product or 2 or 3, with the extra money they spend on all the extended warranties they have purchased though out the years.
