The above was the FIRST problem with a GY tires for me. I am not complaining as that has been MANY thousands of miles and not even a flat since 2005.
I have mentioned before a tire monitoring system for these H GY tires is a waste IMHO because they don't pop they just loose part or all of the center tread.
I had just checked temps 20 min prior while fueling. All 4 tires were very close in temp.
And yet you had problems, but I see you are not pushing them as hard as you used too, is it because you can no longer claim how great these overpriced Goodyear tires are ?
I know we have been over this Sailun tire think a few times, but they proved the past several years now to be the MUCH better tire then Goodyear has ever been, and a MUCH more reasonable price.
I know you argue Goodyear being US made , and the Sailun being made in China, but thats a feeble argument these days with all the foreign products, and even your beloved Ram truck being made in Mexico.
Two big things about Sailun over Goodyear. #1 is they don't have a history of blowouts doing thousands of dollars worth of damage to an RV ,and sitting on the side of the road getting a tire changed , that in itself is enough reason alone to stay away from Goodyear. #2 is the price ,and the much better tire in the Sailun, being about half the cost.
I don't need to buy more insurance, and thats what you are paying for with Goodyear. I have enough insurance to cover tire damage if it occurs.
