That size is one of the sizes made in the new Goodyear Endurance ST tire. If I could fit them on my camper I would buy them in a heartbeat. You would gain more than 500# loading per tire and you know they would be fresh as it's a brand new tire for Goodyear.

5 years on our R250s - probably 30,000 miles. Had a good look at them today when I was lubing the bearings and testing the brakes. I have no intention of replacing them any time soon.

Oh, I should say our rig is a tri-axle so we're not loading the tires to the max. More scrubbing though.

I would say 6.5 to 7.5 as long as they are looking good. Chris

I would be less afraid of age with an LT tire vs. a ST.
If they pass a thorough visual inspection I have no problem using them.

I ran the last two sets of LT215/85-16 E BFG Commercials/5200 lb axles for 7 years and 55k+ miles....and the second set for 6 years and just over 50k miles.
It sits in a trailer shed when not used so no sun issues. I'm easy on tires....keep them pumped to 80 psi in winter storage and on the road in the summer months and sprayed with TireCare. Sure works for me.

Look at the sidewalls for any cracks (both sides). If you've got even small ones, you'd be better off replacing them if you're planning on going anywhere over a short trip away.

I put LT tires on our Monty shortly after we bought it as the original STs were already five years old and we planned on trips out west. No way was I planning on keeping speed down to 60 or less when every one else was going to be doing 75 - 85! They lasted five years, three trips coast to coast and two to Canada. Total over 40k miles. Tread still looks great, but there's slight cracking on the sidewalls (probably from the stresses of tight turns), so they're gone and we've fresh LT rubber, all four less than six months old.

If you read the very small print on an ST sidewall about loading, many of the E range ones limit speeds to 62mph. Don't ask me why, as it makes no sense.

Just as a comparison my Dad towed a 34.5' HitchHiker Premier that was no way as heave as the Champagne pictured. His truck was a 94 RAM/Cummins 2wd. He had the exact same tires on 3rd gen 17" RAM wheels and he was right at his rear tires capacity.

The tires have been covered At all times, an inflated to 80psi. The

tires never lost a pound of air thru the winter.

I know new tires would be installed for us at 5 years because this is how we have done since 2001. The repair cost from a blow doesn't seem to be a great idea for another year of taking a chance. I seem to be out numbered.

I'd run them another year, and then sell them on craigslist, with full disclosure of their age and good appearance. They would be perfect for a landscape or construction company that doesn't do a lot of sustained high speed travel. Probably get $50 each
