When my previous RV's toilet started leaking past the valve seal I let all the water out and poured some coconut oil on the valve and let it sit (overnight if possible). It stopped the leakage for quite a while but wasn't a permanent fix since it had to be repeated in time.
My current toilet has a different kind of valve and so far hasn't developed the slightest bit of leakage.
