- AllworthExplorer IIWhen I had a SB Dodge I had a below the rails box with no problems. (Pep Boys calls them "tool chests" rather than "tool boxes".)
With my current LB Chevy I have a Pace Edwards retracting cover and have partitioned off the front two feet of the bed. The cover locks at that point giving me a secure box.
With the hitch out, I still have a 6' box for hauling stuff home from Lowes. - WE_CAMP2ExplorerI have a low profile over the rails tool box that works great, you do have to pay attention turning on unlevel ground but it's not usually a problem.

Get a side mount 5 drawer for the rear side of your bed. It will not take up what limited bed space you have and its more convenient than an (across the bed) type box.
Wheel Well Tool Box $229 on Amazon... was looking at them today. - Chad_BrooksExplorerGet a side mount 5 drawer for the rear side of your bed. It will not take up what limited bed space you have and its more convenient than an (across the bed) type box.
- SeabeedaddyExplorerDo you already have the hitch? I have a Andersen ultimate aluminum hitch and a full size box and no problems..
- cpaulsenExplorerI have a below the bed rail tool box with a 6 1/2' bed with my Pullrite Superglide and it works fine.
- bbaker2001ExplorerThe handle on my pullright is bent. Still works fine. Always wondered how it happened. Maybe it hit box on a turn, next time out will check it. I know I dont have a problem now.
- korbeExplorerThe handle on my 6 and a half box slider hitch rests at the tool box. No more room to slide.
