Tool box on a 6' bed

When I had a SB Dodge I had a below the rails box with no problems. (Pep Boys calls them "tool chests" rather than "tool boxes".)

With my current LB Chevy I have a Pace Edwards retracting cover and have partitioned off the front two feet of the bed. The cover locks at that point giving me a secure box.

With the hitch out, I still have a 6' box for hauling stuff home from Lowes.

I have a low profile over the rails tool box that works great, you do have to pay attention turning on unlevel ground but it's not usually a problem.

I have to slide to release my B&W slider, which I consider a plus, as it forces me to slide each time I park or hook back up.

Do you already have the hitch? I have a Andersen ultimate aluminum hitch and a full size box and no problems..

I have a below the bed rail tool box with a 6 1/2' bed with my Pullrite Superglide and it works fine.

The handle on my pullright is bent. Still works fine. Always wondered how it happened. Maybe it hit box on a turn, next time out will check it. I know I dont have a problem now.

The handle on my 6 and a half box slider hitch rests at the tool box. No more room to slide.
