Torsion spring problem

So we go on our first 4 day trip with our new to us of one month 5th wheel come home to find front right tire with broken exposed belts. Told needs alignment, mechanic discovers right side torsion centre bracket is cracked apart. Took back to trailer repair. Neither trailer mechanic nor alignment place know why it broke or have seen this before. Question is, has anyone else had this, is it a common thing with Thor products. $2000.00 later I am hoping it was just a fluke.
