That truck was a lemon, GM eventually ended up buying it back and replacing it with the one we have now. No problems with the replacement. GM's customer service leaves a lot to be desired, that has not changed. They offered me a free oil change as compensation for the lost vacation.
The point of my post was that you need to have coverage other than the manufactures "roadside assistance." My insurance now includes towing for the truck and trailer.
