How many are using this truck to tow there 5th wheel campers? Don't like Long bed trucks or DWR turck. But thinking I could live with the Dodge 3500 Mega Cab short bed DWR plus my wife likes it also.It will be 2 years or so before we upgrade, and will be a 2013 or 2014 3500 Mega Cab 4x4 Short bed DWR truck.Pete

I tow with a short bed. The ford beds are a little longer, though.

There are a ton of RAM short beds out there towing 5ths.

I have the srw . Pulls fine. With my aux tank an slider hitch no room in bed for anything else.

2013 or 2014 should be fine. I almost bought a 2012 Mega Cab DRW with 3.73 gears...until I found it only had 10,500 GVWR and 2600# payload. Pretty weak for a 3500 dually. But Dodge says the towing numbers for the 2013 should be substantially more than 2012.

I currently use a companion in my short bed gmc no slider. I don't want a slider if I don't have to have one.

Usually fine if you have an extended pin box. If not B&W does make a slider.

Best Quality and easiest to use.

I tow with a CUSTOM Dodge Quad cab short bed Dually. 3500 suspension, upgraded everything but the steering wheel.

Been there Done that with a short bed srw. Changed up to a long bed dwr and will never go back now. It handles so much better and is so much more stable I couldnt believe it. TRY IT YOU'LL LIKE IT. :B
