Dodge has always been conservative with their numbers. I have towed with Dodge Ram pick ups both SRW and DRW and they are capable. Not to start a war here but GM and Ford kept raising their numbers the last two or three years without changing much on the trucks. It is done for marketing. That being said you need to know your limits.
