It may be cheaper to rent a car when you need one to get around. Some of the rental places have specials where the daily or weekly rate is low and unlimited mileage. You'll save wear and tear on your Versa, the 5ht wheel and your tow vehicle. We've done this several times. Once when I had to go to a business meeting 200 miles away from where we were camped and the saving in gas vs my using my tow vehicle (30 MPG vs. 10 MPG) paid for the rental.
We find that we rarely travel more than a few hours a day. I seem to remember seeing a statistic which showed most RVers travel less than 150 miles per day. If my DW wants her car she follows along in it. If we are going for longer distances then we just use the tow vehicle for sight seeing & errands.
