Towing a fifth wheel

I am looking for someone to tow my newly purchased fifth wheel camper in Eastern Pennsylvania. What is the best way to go about this? Also would anybody be willing to recommend a company/individual to do this?

  • 3 days later.... I am assuming he got his trailer moved since he has not reached out the those of us offering to help...
  • I'm 15 min south of you...where are you looking to go?
  • First 5th wheel from Dayton Oh. to Morro Bay, Ca. went very well (NOT Uship. Left Ohio at 11AM Monday, here at 7PM Wednesday evening. No issues or phone excuses.

Second from Michigan to Morro Bay via UShip not a disaster but no way near the professionalism of the first company. Several days late picking up the trailer. Tow vehicle broke down, took longer to get here (said there were tornados, none showed up on weather forcasts for that area).

Crossing into California from Arizona said the border patrol would not let him in because of bugs on the front cap (I called the station and asked if they turn people away for bugs on the vehicle and relayed what the driver told me. BP Agent said he remembered the guy. Said he told the driver there is a pressure washer behind the station that he was welcomed to use to spray off any bugs. Said the driver refused the offer and drove off further south to cross through another crossing).
  • I am in Towanda PA and could possibly help you for a one time move
  • I used http://www.uship.com/profile/gibobb/ with u-ship. Worked out great.
  • I am from Lowers Bucks about 45 minutes away.. What are you looking to do? How big of a trailer? How far? On a time schedule? I may be interested to help out depending on those answers......

  • welcome to the forum.

Most RV dealers can give you some names or transport company names to transport your trailer. Check with a few in your area.
