Assuming the 5er has drum breaks.
Due to "lack of exercise",self adjusters often fail to keep linings tight on all 4 wheels. Raise one wheel at a time and adjust breaks like we did before cars had self adjusters. It is also common for hold-down pins to break causing no breaking on that wheel.
