Ok so after reading this post I assume the danger is the pin weight being too far back and not centered over axles taking away the benefit of the great stability of a fiver?Right or wrong?I have a pullright slider so im not asking cause I want to do it,just wondering what the "danger" is...
I'd say the answer is Right, loss of stability. Kind of like towing a TT without the benefit of a good sway and weight distribution hitch. I think there are three components. While distance behind the tow vehicle axle is less than a TT, actual weight is much higher. But probably more important is height of the hitch point vs the axle centerline, with a TT, the point is below the axle, but a fiver hitch point is in the range of 30 inches above the axle.
