I used the Smart Trailer to haul our 2 bikes. Mine had the 2 wheels at the rear because of the amount of weight it carried.
We had no issues with it, but switched to a toyhauler after a couple years. The toyhauler is just so much easier to load and unload, and we don't have to worry about being stopped by a LEO. But, AFATG, we never were stopped and we traveled through, and in, several states that don't allow double towing.
It's easy to travel with though. You have to remember it's back there and watch the tail swing. We had a camera back there to keep an eye on things, just in case. It did make backing up a non-issue.
As always of course, YMMV.
