My wife and I recently went to the Atlanta RV show and really like the new 376TH made by Grand Designs. What we liked most was the innovative way they incorporate the garage underneath the bedroom. For just hauling a motorcycle, most toy haulers sacrifice too much for that 10'+ garage in the back that we wouldn't get very good use out of.Unfortunately we only own a SRW GMC 2500 with a GVWR of 15,800 and that 5er maxes out at 20k! Since my truck is paid for and I've got a sophomore and senior in HS about to go to college, there's no new truck in my future for at least 6-7 years. Welcome to the forum!Yes, that TH is too much for your truck. If yours is a late model 2500, it will have a 10,000 GVWR, rather than 15,800. I can't help you pick out a similar floor plan, lighter TH, but you will need one with under 14,000 GVWR, in order to stay within the RAWR/tire rating of your truck.Jerry

Had a look at the floorplan you suggested. For me, the bed over the motorcycle would get very old very fast.

I'd consider getting one without a seperate garage.

It's wasted space when the bike is out. If you're over nighting, you'll still have the front bedroom or "camp" at the motel.

Get a smaller 5th wheel that you can tow. Consider the options of leaving the bike in when overnighting it. If you need to keep the bike indoors every night, well, I see no option.

Just leave the bike out in the rain or under the awning. You are camping.

Are you set on the 5ver? We are very happy with our bumper pull, AK2612 Stealth by Forest River. Front bed. No slides. Certainly not as nice as the Grand Design, but pulls well with the SRW Dodge.

After looking closer I can see how I screwed up. The measurements given are to the top of the door, not the ceiling as I inferred. Duh.

Oh, after looking at their pics on the momentum, I see how there is a trough so to speak around the bed and on each side of the garage.

I think you are most likely correct. We'll probably need to give up on the desired floor plan to get a TH that fits the truck or get a bigger truck that fits the desired floor plan.

She wants BIG, but she never drives, go figure. Fortunately we're in zero hurry and are just looking around right now.

Cedar Creek makes one but its GVWR is 18K. I think cougar makes one, 326SRX that has front bedroom but a smaller garage, it might work for your truck as its around 13.5 GVWR. Thing you have to keep in mind also is the fact you'll always be on your hands and knees while in the bedroom when its over the garage.

We looked at the high country at the Denver RV show last month.
A little claustrophobic in the garage, but you are just loading or unloading the bike in there and then you are done. The ramp angle is about the same as the Momentum we just ordered, and it will be way easy to load a bike, easier than our current toyhauler with the garage on top of the frame rails instead of it being between the frame rails like these models.

We definitely prefer the grand designs model. Pretty attached to my current truck, other than emissions issues which I have permanently resolved it's given me no trouble and only has 67k miles or I'd be more receptive to getting a dually. Likely there is no perfect solution until you're into a prevost bus :).
