I was big on adding shocks but I've read so much good and bad about adding them I'm unsure. There's not much room in there for a shock setup that I would see making much difference.
Were on our 2nd RK 5th wheel trailer (32') with close to 100k miles on it. The first one (30') had just over 40k miles and not one broken anything in the rear kitchen cabinets. Both had shocks.
Now our 1st 5th wheel trailer was a new 1984 Aljo (28') with a rear bath and no shocks. Every trip their something was in the bathroom floor.
I've been around the RV industry since the late '50s and have never heard of anything bad about installing shocks on a trailer with std leaf spring suspensions.
There is very little compression/rebound in a trailer leaf spring pack (26" long) compared to the trucks soft suspension with 6' long springs so it doesn't take a big long shock to dampen the bounce.
