I thought about that and do have a welder/fabricator I've worked with in the past but then it really becomes an issue of finding the correct length shock absorber to fit the new brackets.
Did you happen to check the link I provided in my OP? It provides the more upright position but does it from inboard of the frame. Looks very cool but it does cost $600. It is something I could install on my own which is nice. I think I'm just trying to talk myself into justifying the cost.
