The more money you throw at it presumably the better the ride.
Mine had shocks on it stock. I don't know really what makes the biggest difference. I have never ridden in the trailer so how could I possible know? I added the centerpoint equalizer springhangers that you have feeling that they do make a difference. I also upgraded my spring packs after a few years as the stock ones were flat at rest. Not good. Frame builders, well, Lippert, is notorious for building to minimum spec. This may be fine for the local weekend warrior but I usually put 15,000 miles a year on the trailer so I went from a 6 leaf to a 7 leaf spring stack. I also have the 5th Airborne air pinbox. Has to be better than stock but it is not as good as the Trailair pinbox that I had on a previous, identical, trailer.
I have done quite a bit under the frame to hopefully prevent a roadside disaster. Insurance for it or not wreckers are expensive not to mention the inconvenience of a trailer running gear failure that could be avoided if only a few hundred had been spent upgrading something like any of the above.
