Thanks for the responses.
Another question I have since I travel alone usually is how hard is it to hook-up and disconnect versus a trailer by one's self?
Like other said... backing up has been the biggest challenge I've had. I was pretty good with my 20' bumper pull car hauler, but this 36' 5er is a challenge. Getting better though each time I back it up.
For your question about hooking up alone... Assuming you dont have a toolbox on your truck you should be able to see the 5th hitch. I can easily see mine out the back window of my Superduty crew cab. So it's easy to hook up by myself.
Just remember if you're hooking/unhooking alone, TRIPLE check every step since there are no other eyes there to check your work and catch mistakes.
Because I have a hard time looking over my shoulder I place a magnetic stick (purchased at Camping World) on the center of the hitch plate which is visible in the mirror. I can then easily center the hitch on the king pin as I back up to the RV. The mag stick gets pushed off the plate just as the king pin contacts the jaws of the hitch... works every time! As already mentioned, TRIPLE check everything.
