I have the BD3 and its right at the max of its limits. I'd love to upgrade to the BD5.
I love the hitch and its completely understandable why its called a trailer-saver. Just watch their videos ( I made my own, too) and you can see all the dampening that it puts between the truck hitch and the pin box. There's no doubt that it cushions the shock to the pin box and frame of the fiver.
Granted pin box and frame should be able to take a lot, however, I wonder how many that have had frame issues were using solid hitches compared to air.
