Travel in Texas
We are about to leave San Marcos heading west and it was suggested that we take route 46 from New Braunfels to Boerne has anyone taken this route and how is the travel? Thanks

I don't know where you're heading, but if you're going farther west on I-10, an alternate might be I-35N to US-290 west through Dripping Springs, Johnson City and Fredericksburg. US-290 west intersects with I-10 between Kerrville and Junction. US-290 is 4 lane until well west of Fredericksburg.
